Privacy Policy
Plain English. No legalese. Last updated March 2026.
What we collect
When you sign the constitution, we collect your first name, email address, and country. We also assign you a random visitor ID for analytics purposes.
What we don’t collect
We don’t collect your surname, home address, phone number, payment information, or job title. If you use our job analysis tool, your job information is processed in real time and never stored.
How we use your data
- Count signatories and show the live counter
- Send you a welcome email after signing
- Track referrals so you can see your impact
- Understand which countries are represented
We never sell your data
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. We will never monetise your personal information. That would contradict everything we stand for.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Visitor ID — a random identifier so we can count unique visitors without tracking who you are
- Referral code — if someone shared their link with you, we remember who referred you
- Variant assignment — which version of the page you see, for testing
We don’t use third-party tracking cookies. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixels, no ad networks.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in a PocketBase database. It is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing ed@unionofhumanity.com. We will remove your record within 30 days.
Under GDPR, you also have the right to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data. Just email us.
IP addresses
We hash your IP address to prevent duplicate signups and rate limiting. The hash is one-way — we cannot reverse it to identify you. Your actual IP address is never stored.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date above. We won’t reduce your rights without telling you.
